Godzilla vs Kong was released in March 2021 on HBO max; it is a monster movie with three sequels: Godzilla, Godzilla: King of Monsters and Kong: Skull Island. The movie was directed by Adam Wingard who is famous for working on popular action and horror movies; with his experience he delivered an awesome movie. The movie focuses on the clash between Godzilla and Kong: when Kong was taken out of Skull Island to find Hollow Earth and Godzilla was attracted by some scientists experimenting on the head of a dead monster ( Hydra ).
The movie had amazing visuals. The VFX used for the monsters were realistic and the technology used made the movie come out really nice. The monsters were properly scaled the fight scenes were well paced and you could tell what was happening, complete disregard for human life during the fights was very much expected.
Amazing fight scenes were properly delivered by the movie, but the characters were boring and simple. The plot also had no complexity and it was relatively predictable. If you are someone watching the movie for amazing fights between Godzilla and Kong you would enjoy the movie, especially the later half of it, but if you were looking forward to deep plot twists and crazy characters you will be disappointed. I would agree that most people watching the movie wanted to see some major ass kicking, but it would not have been bad to develop the characters a lit bit more.
The movie did live up to the hype with amazing fight scenes and a stellar cast; I really liked the performance of Millie Bobby Brown, Brian Henry and Rebecca Hill. Despite the poor characters story I really enjoyed the movie and it was fun to watch. I would rate it 7/10.
